    Shadow boards are workplace organizational tools that ensure all your cleaning tools are accounted for and in order, enabling you to segregate your workplace cleaning equipment and to reduce the risk of cross contamination.

    Our shadow boards ensure equipment is stored efficiently and cleanly, making shadow boards an integral part of site improvement. Shadow boards help reduce replacement costs by ensuring equipment is always available and in good condition. Our shadow boards improve color coded segregation, reducing the risk of cross contamination and reinforcing color coding policies on site. 

    Shadow boards are custom designed to fit your requirements and may include your company branding as well as multiple languages.

    Shadow Board Materials

    Material - Dibond

    A standard wall mounted Dibond shadow board is an extremely durable aluminum laminate with a solid polyethylene core construction, Dibond is ideal for high-traffic industrial areas. Hard, strong and dent resistant, it is available in various thickness options with 3mm (0.12”) as standard. Dibond shadow boards may be mounted directly, or recessed away from the wall using our spacers.



    A 1.5mm (0.06”), flexible, co-polyester sheet. Vivak is resilient, hard to scratch and dent and should be fixed directly to a wall. (Note: Our hooks and hangers must be fixed directly into the wall through the board, therefore the SSHOOK2 and SSSPACER cannot be used with our Vivak boards).




    A fine cell PVC board that has been an industry standard for over two decades. Sintra is a lighter material with a matte finish, both rigid and durable. It is ideal for lower traffic areas and warehouses and is an inexpensive alternative. Available in several thicknesses with 6mm (0.24”) as standard. Sintra boards may be mounted directly, or away from the wall (using our spacers). Please note that large boards holding heavy items will require additional spacers.

    Hooks and holders

    Pick and choose the desired hooks and holders that work for you and your business. Our standard hooks attach directly to the front of the shadow board with a hole pre-drilled for the screw. We offer a wide range of hooks and holders including:

    • Standard stainless steel hooks
    • Stainless steel “smart hooks”
    • Plastic hooks
    • Plastic holders 

    Wall Fixtures

    These wall mounted fixtures are used to affix your shadow boards to walls and other hard surfaces. They are available in multiple sizes, leaving a recess between the shadow board and the wall for easy wash down and improved hygiene.

    Contact us to inquire about the fixtures and fittings you require for your shadow board. We will work with you to select the best option for your facility’s unique needs. We recommend shadow boards be installed by your in-house maintenance team.


    Hillbrush offers all shadow boards in a multitude of colors to suit your needs and segregate your environments. You may select a colored background with a white or black shadow, or a white background with a colored shadow of your choice.
